Company Overview
City of Stirling Media was formed in June 2003 as the company behind a concept for a sports magazine called TeamTalk. Like many new ventures this was run by the director whilst holding down a full time employed job. During 2004 City of Stirling Media set about financing 2 on line concepts and in February 2005 the company director took up a full time post.
As with most online ventures these are still developing. In August 2006 the company rebranded as COS Media so as to attract a wider business audience throughout the UK. Our target market remains predominantly SME’s but we do engage with several blue chip organisations as well.
Above all COS Media aim to provide a quality product with exemplary customer service. All our clients benefit from open communication channels pre, during and post delivery. We endeavour at all times to be open and honest and as such we will tell you if we can’t do something. We do not believe in providing you with something that is second rate. We are in business to do it well and hopefully keep you as our client. During our time in business we have gained many clients, yet lost none. A statement in itself.
Before starting with COS Media on the 1st February 2005 Matt McGrandles was Head of Sponsorship & Fundraising for Scotland for a National Education Charity. Matt still keeps his hand in fundraising and is a member of the IoFM (Institute of Fundraising Managers) which identifies and promotes good working practice of fundraisers in the UK. He is all a member of the Institute of Business Consultants which promotes good practice in the delivery of consultancy work.
Matt also leads an active life in the sports world. Having been a professional rugby player with Glasgow several years ago and part of the Championship winning team of Stirling County RFC he continued in his rugby pursuits having taken over as Head Coach at Strathendrick RFC from season 2005 - 2008. He also sits on ClubSport Stirling's management committee including being Chair of the Profile Working Group committee.
